NHMFC Awarded GQMC Certificate of Recognition
The National Home Mortgage Finance Corporation (NHMFC) was awarded by the Government Quality Management Committee (GQMC) a Certificate of Recognition during its 4th Recognition Ceremony recently held at the Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP) Auditorium, Malate, Manila.
The certificate is given to government agencies, government-owned and controlled corporations, state universities, and local government units whose Quality Management Systems (QMS) have attained ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System (QMS) Certifications from January 2012 to October 2016.
NHMFC was among the awardees for having successfully established a QMS Certified to ISO 9001:2008 Standards in compliance to Executive Order No. 605, s. 2007.
NHMFC President Dr.Felixberto U. Bustos Jr. together with Ms. Pia Bustos, Corporate Executive Officer II, represented the Corporation in the awarding ceremony.
In a message delivered by Vice President Leni Robredo, she expressed her appreciation and congratulation to all the awardees. “I know that it took more than the usual level of dedication, hard work, sacrifice, and quite possibly, many sleepless nights, for you to attain this coveted Certification to the ISO 9001 Standards. Know that your efforts are very much appreciated by a grateful nation.”
She also emphasized that collaboration is the key and that the word “government” should not simply refer to those working in the government, but “it is about how we interact with the public and how we solve things together when we can’t do things on our own.”
The GQMC is composed of Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Secretary Benjamin E. Diokno as Chairman, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Ramon M. Lopez as Co-chairman, and Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Ismael D. Sueno, Office of the President – Internal Audit Office Deputy Executive Secretary Alberto A. Bernardo, and Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) President Antonio Kalaw, as Committee Members.
In February 2013, NHMFC was originally awarded its ISO 9001:2008 Certificate for the Rizal Division Borrower Counseling System, and in January 2014, another ISO certificate for the expansion of the counseling system to National Capital Region (NCR) Division and Luzon Accounts Servicing Division (LASD).
Following this, in February 2015, the corporation acquired one more ISO certification for its Extra-Judicial Foreclosure of Account and Custodianship of Title, and for this year, NHMFC was awarded ISO Certification for all its securitization processes – the Securitization of Housing Loan Portfolios (Purchase of Housing Receivables, Collection of Amortizations, Securitization, and Post Issuance of Bonds) and Borrower’s Services
ISO 9001:2008 specifies requirements for a quality management system, where a particular organization or entity needs to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide products or services that meet customer satisfaction, counting the mechanisms for constant enhancement of its system and the assurance of conformity to their consumers and other applicable regulatory requirements.
